Future Freshman Academy, traditionally, students who enter high school are presumed to be ready for high school math and English, however, this is frequently not the case and many encounter academic difficulty resulting in failure and even drop-out. Highland Prep believes that greater attention must be paid to supporting the transition from middle to high school in order to close the gap and bring about academic equity. HP’s Future Freshman Academy is designed to meet this need. The Academy will specifically target freshmen who enroll at the school with significant gaps in both math and reading comprehension. Highland Prep’s Future Freshmen Academy will begin in the summer just prior to the school’s opening. Contact the school office for more information.
2025-2026 Incoming Freshman Open Enrollment Deadlines
Pre-Enrollment Period: September 2, 2024 – November 29, 2024
Incoming Freshman must complete and submit the Intent to Enroll form to begin the enrollment process for the 2025-2026 school year. The Intent to Enroll form is located and can be submitted through the HP website at www.HighlandPrepAZ.org. The Intent to Enroll form is also available in the school office.
Enrollment Packets Due: Friday, December 20, 2024
Incoming Freshman must complete and submit the Enrollment Packet to secure enrollment in the Class of 2029. Enrollment Packets may be returned to the school office, via facsimile, or via email to: tcline@highlandprepaz.org.
Placement Testing Date: Saturday, February 1, 2025
Incoming Freshman must complete the 9th grade placement tests in Reading and Mathematics. Placement testing will be held on the HP campus at 9:00 a.m. Incoming Freshman that do not complete the placement testing may not receive an enrollment seat for the 2025-2026 school year.
Course Registration Date: Saturday, March 1, 2025
Incoming Freshman must register for Fall 2025 honors-level and elective courses. Course registration will be held in the HP Gymnasium from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Incoming Freshman that do not complete the course registration may not receive an enrollment seat for the 2025-2026 school year.
