Jeff Heinz, Mathematics Faculty Mr. Jeff Heinz received his bachelor’s degree from Lesley University in Mathematics with a minor in education and psychology. Right after, he got his master’s degree in Health and Wellness Management from Merrimack College. He has been a teacher since 2023. He played baseball and swam and enjoys coaching baseball.

Scott Moeller, Language Arts Faculty Scott Moeller brings over 30 years of diverse classroom experience to Highland Prep, having taught at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Education from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching from the University of Northern Iowa.

Mark Ruiz, STEM Faculty Mr. Mark Ruiz received his associate degree in Physics at Oxnard College. Shortly after, he received his bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Utah. He has been teaching since 2022. He has taught mathematics, computer science, and leadership courses.

Ray Hoffman, Language Arts Faculty Mr. Ray Hoffman received his bachelor’s degree in English with a certificate of Linguistics and Rhetoric from Northern Arizona University. He also tested for German and French fluency. He worked in sales as a manager prior to teaching. He has been a teacher since 2021 in the Scottsdale area.
