Derek Anderson, Social Studies Faculty

Derek Anderson is a passionate educator with experience teaching US and World History. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, specializing in History and Coaching, from Arizona Christian University, where he distinguished himself as a 2x All SAC Conference receiver and was celebrated as an All GSAC sprinter in the 4×100 relay, 100m, and 110m hurdles. His love for history and dedication to teaching are embodied in his dynamic approach to instruction. Coupled with his sportsmanship and energy, Mr. Anderson aims to create an engaging learning environment that sparks curiosity and critical thinking among students. We are excited to welcome him to our dedicated team of educators at Highland Prep.
